Health and Well-being
YEAH! Board Game: Learning Critical Life Skills
Recognising the lack of information among young people concerning their health, we developed an innovative tool to assist them in accessing information necessary for making informed decisions about their own well-being. Our YEAH! board Game is an exciting way to educate young people on essential life skills. Through scenarios related to sexual and reproductive health, climate change, and decision-making, players gain valuable insights. YEAH! promotes teamwork, critical thinking, and confidence.
Early and Unintended Pregnancies (EUP) Prevention
Through the Get Up and Speak Out guide, we equip young mothers with skills to return to school and become peer advocates of EUP prevention and the school re-admission policy.
Promoting Menstrual Health and School Retention
Through reusable pad-making, and targeted WASH advocacy, we work to break menstrual taboos and improve sanitation facilities in government schools, creating safer, more supportive environments that reduce absenteeism and help girls stay in school.
Governance and Participation
Youth Leadership
In partnership with ActionAid Malawi, we have trained 80 youth leaders across Mzuzu, Lilongwe, Blantyre, and Mchinji in youth leadership and governance, empowering them to secure leadership roles in Village and Area Development Committees.
What Young People Want Campaign
We disseminated accountability tools such as the What Young People Want booklet to demand government action on youth commitments.
Education – Nurturing Young Minds
Namikhate Nursery School
Namikhate Nursery School in Mussa Village, Zomba, provides early childhood education to 175 underprivileged children. The school nurtures young minds through play-based learning while addressing child nutrition to support school readiness and well-being. We recognise that families in the village struggle to feed their children. Therefore, at Namikhate Nursery School, every child receives a bowl of porridge.
Economic Empowerment
Youth Hub Vocational and Agri-Business Programme
Supporting rural self-sufficiency, our Youth Hub offers vocational training in tailoring and organic farming. This initiative builds young women’s confidence, improves food security, and fosters pathways to economic independence using our Youth Vibe Guide.
